We installed the ProSecure UTM25 in a customer network a few months ago and it not only replaced their old Fortinet, it even replaced the Barracuda spam filter they had in there while remaining just as effective at stopping spam. The UTM was easy to install and configure, with a user friendly GUI. Since installing the ProSecure UTM, they’ve had no interruptions in service. We are very pleased with the effectiveness of the anti-virus and anti-spam capabilities of the UTM. So far the unit has stopped over 10 million spam and over 500 malware and has more than lived up to our expectations.

GadgetKing.com has a relatively small office (10-15 users) which comes with a small IT budget. In an effort to streamline our IT spend for both hardware and support costs (of that hardware) we chose NETGEAR's ProSecure UTM.

The UTM has eliminated two pieces of hardware while simplifying the management of our threat security. In addition, we used to rely on software for remote users who wanted to connect to the office, adding additional cost and support issues. We now use the UTM's VPN for all remote connections.

I feel strongly about stopping malware, viruses, spam and the like at the gateway as opposed to the desktop. With that said, we simply haven't found a more affordable and comprehensive solution to the NETGEAR ProSecure UTM.
